Privacy Policy
The TL;DR Version: Your privacy matters.
What We Collect (Spoiler: Not Much)
When you create an account, Skipple collects your email and password. That's it. No interest in your shoe size, favorite ice cream flavor, or your cat's middle name.
Skipple also remembers which podcasts you subscribe to and where you left off listening. You know, the actual useful stuff that makes the app work.
Cookies (The Digital Kind)
Cookies are used to keep you logged in. That's pretty much it. No tracking pixels, no creepy retargeting, no following you around the internet like a lost puppy.
Fun fact: Our cookies contain 0% calories and 100% functionality.
Where Your Data Goes
Your data stays on Skipple servers. It's not sold, traded, or used as currency in underground data markets. The focus is on making sure ads get skipped, not shady data dealing.
Industry-standard encryption keeps your data safe. It's like a really good lock on a really boring filing cabinet.
AI and Your Podcasts
The AI listens to podcasts to find ads, not to judge your taste in true crime podcasts. What happens in your podcast library stays in your podcast library.
The AI doesn't care if you listen to "Advanced Quantum Physics" or "Celebrity Gossip Hour" – it just wants to help you skip to the good part.
When You Ghost Us
Want to delete your account? No hard feelings! Just send an email and your data gets wiped faster than you can say "unsubscribe from this podcast."
Your departure is respected, and your data won't be kept around.
Emails (We Hate Spam Too)
Emails are sent only for important stuff: password resets, security alerts, and maybe a birthday wish on special occasions.
No daily newsletters, no "miss you" guilt trips, no "10 podcasts you MUST listen to RIGHT NOW!!!"
Your Rights (You Have Them!)
- • You can request a copy of your data (it'll be a short read)
- • You can request deletion of everything
- • You can request to stop data processing
- • You can export your podcast list and take it elsewhere (but why would you?)
Questions?
If you have privacy questions, concerns, or just want to chat about the universal hatred of ads, drop a line at [email protected]
Responses come faster than that podcast host who takes 10 minutes to get to the point.
